The NCVEC Question Pool Committee hereby releases into public domain the 2023-2027 General, Element 3, Question pool.

 

The final pool doc with all errata is included at the top of this page.

4th Errata Issued March 6, 2024

 

One Question Withdrawn From Use:

G1E09 – question deleted

Question G1E09 is withdrawn from the pool and marked as deleted.

The remaining questions in G1E were not renumbered, leaving 11 questions.


3rd Errata Issued December 1, 2023
FCC Rule Change - Two Questions Withdrawn From Use:
G1C08 – question deleted
G1C10 – question deleted
Questions G1C08 and G1C10 are withdrawn from the pool and marked as deleted.
The remaining questions in G1C were not renumbered, leaving 9 questions.
In the syllabus at the top of the pool one change:
Change SUBELEMENT G1 question count from 57 to 55:
SUBELEMENT G1 – COMMISSION’S RULES [5 Exam Questions – 5 Groups] 55 Questions
In the pool itself, 1 question modified:
G2E12 – in the answers, change answer D to read “All these choices are correct”.
D. All these choices are correct

Errata 2
In the pool itself, 3 questions modified, and 1 question deleted:
G1A05 – in the answers, change answer D to read “All these choices are correct”.
D. All these choices are correct
G1E10 – in the question remove the space in 24.930 to read:
Why should an amateur operator normally avoid transmitting on 14.100, 18.110, 21.150, 24.930 and 28.200 MHz?
G9D01 – in answer C add “A” to the beginning of the answer to read:
C. A horizontal dipole placed at approximately 1/2 wavelength above the ground
G6B09 – question deleted
Question G6B09 is withdrawn from the pool and marked as deleted.
The remaining questions in G6B were not renumbered, leaving 11 questions.

Errata 1
Nine (9) Questions were modified.
TWO (2) Questions are withdrawn from use.
G9C06 - question deleted
G9D13 - question deleted .


Users of the pool documents are free to correct minor typographical and punctuation errors, including obvious minor omissions. Such corrections must not cause a change in the meaning of a question or any of the proposed answers to the questions. Also, since rule citation references are not part of the questions themselves and are included only to assist when looking up the applicable section of the rules, errors in the reference identifiers are not considered adequate reason for removal of a question from the pool.
